In my previous post, you know that one of the benefits of lemon juice in the morning is to help remove unwanted toxins in the body, boosts your immunity, relieves respiratory problems. But do you know that lemon is the savior of your skin?
Lemons have powerful antibacterial properties due to its low pH. The juice is a natural antiseptic medicine and can cure your skin problems. Besides reducing pain from sunburn, lemon juice can be used on your skin for clearing clogged pores and treating acne, fight infection and inflammation. It can also remove wrinkles, dark spots and blackheads.
Here’s some tips for the skin problems you are facing right now.
Dark patch savior – Squeeze a bit of lemon juice onto the dark patches. After 5 minutes, rinse it off with warm water. By repeating this step every day, the dark patch will be lighten and your skin tone will be even.
Pimple savior – Apply a bit of lemon juice on your pimple before you sleep. Let it dry overnight and you will notice that your pimples are less visible.
Blackheads savior – Slice the lemon to half and apply 3-4 drops of honey on the lemon. Rub the lemon on your face, targeting areas such as forehead, nose and chin. Leave the mixture on your face for 5 minutes and wash it off with cold water.
If you want a stronger agent, mix the lemon juice (1/4 cup) and baking soda (2 tablespoons) to a paste that is ideal for gentle exfoliation. Since baking soda is mildly acidic, it works well with lemon (another mild acid) for treatment of acne and prevention of clogged pores.
Whiteheads savior – Mix the lemon juice (2 tablespoons), baking soda (2 tablespoons), 1/4 cup of plain low-fat yogurt and a large egg white in a bowl. Whisk until creamy and apply the mask to your face. Rinse with warm water after 20 minutes. You will feel your face tighten as the mask dries up.
